AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On Wednesday, January 23, 2025, a session titled “The Qualities and Attributes of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) in Sahifa Sajjadiya” was held at ABNA News Agency’s conference hall in Qom. The session was presented by Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Sadegh Kafil, Head of the Sahifa Sajjadiya Specialized Center, and Hojat al-Islam Sadegh Salehi, Head of the Sahifa Sajjadiya Propagation Center.
The Greatest Masterpiece of Creation is Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h)
Hojat al-Islam Sadegh Salehi, at the beginning of the session, referred to the qualities of Sahifa Sajjadiya and stated, “Imam Sajjad (a.s.) in Sahifa Sajjadiya seeks to make humans realize that perfection is achieved through God’s servitude. Prayer is the declaration of poverty before the Creator, and through the prayers in Sahifa Sajjadiya, the Imam (a.s.) directs us toward the higher realms. Imam Sajjad (a.s.) also reminds us through his prayers that Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) are intermediaries for divine grace.”
He continued, “The greatest masterpiece of creation is Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). In the first prayer of Sahifa Sajjadiya, Imam Sajjad (a.s.) praises God. In the second prayer, it is mentioned that God has bestowed His grace upon us through the existence of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). Imam Sajjad (a.s.) frequently sends salutations, particularly emphasizing the family (AhlulBayt) of the Prophet (p.b.u.h). In supplications two, forty-two, and forty-seven, the attributes of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) are mentioned. Imam Sajjad (a.s.) sought to keep the name of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) alive.”
The second Supplication of Sahifa Sajjadiya is about knowing the Prophet (p.b.u.h)
Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Sadegh Kafil, continuing the session, discussed the themes of the supplications in Sahifa Sajjadiya. “The second supplication of Sahifa Sajjadiya is a treatise on knowing the Prophet (p.b.u.h). Sahifa Sajjadiya is the interpreter of the Holy Quran. Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) exerted great efforts to guide people, enduring hardships to ensure others’ guidance. He faced both the tribal Arabs, who had harsh behavior, and the polytheists, who imposed sanctions on the Muslims.”
He continued, “Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) even fought with his own relatives, such as Abu Lahab and Abu Jahl, for the sake of guiding people. Before his prophethood, he was a merchant, earning his living in this way. However, he spent all his wealth in the way of God, and his entire being was devoted to God.”
He emphasized, “Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) migrated from Makkah so that God’s religion could gain dignity. His migration was fruitful. We must learn from him and be concerned for God’s religion.”
